A couple of architect friends of mine bought an old ferry, to use for local culture purposes. I made them this logo for their project.

”Omform” in danish, means ”reform”, to give an excisting object a new form. And thats what the whole thing is about – they want to change the form and purpose of the old transport ferry to a local culture gathering.
The core values of the emblem was the ferry it self, the colaboration with the urban city and the maritime enviorment.

The pipe sticking up of the ferry, is the characteristic ventilation pipe.
All the elements are located in a square form, but the ventilation pipe and the buildings in the background breaks the solid form to supports the ”omform” principle, indicating the new form originates from the old form.

The ferry it self is under reconstruction, and will arrive in Aalborg during May 2013.
